Man injured in crash with delivery truck in town of Yorkville

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a 20-year-old man in the village of Yorkville Wednesday, May 12.

It happened near 67th and Spring Street around 1:10 p.m., according to the Racine County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say a delivery truck was traveling eastbound on Spring Street when it slowed and then stopped to make a turn. 

A Ford Escape traveling eastbound collided with the rear-end of the delivery truck.

The operator of the Ford Escape, a 20-year-old man, was located in the ditch line on the south side of the street.

Deputies provided immediate care and the man was taken by Flight For Life to Froedtert Hospital. 

The road reopened to normal traffic around 5 p.m.
