MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A local business is helping to support the Milwaukee County Parks system.
Purple Door Ice Cream has announced a new flavor called the Milwaukee Trail Mix.
The flavor features a base of malted vanilla ice cream swirled with chocolate covered pretzels, golden raisins and salted peanuts.
The collaboration is focused on supporting the Love Your Parks Campaign, which works to find ways for the community to help financially struggling parks.
"We know that parks offer countless health and physical and environmental benefits and it holds social importance and spaces for truly everyone and functions as a hidden economic engine for our region," said Guy Smith, executive director of Milwaukee County Parks.
Twenty-percent of each scoop or pint of Milwaukee Trail Mix between now and the end of October will be donated to the Milwaukee Parks Foundation.
