Pumpkin shortage in Illinois has farmers seeking pumpkins in Wisconsin

Recent heavy rainfall in Illinois has really put a damper on the pumpkin crop there.

Some farmers are looking to buy pumpkins from Wisconsin to make up for the shortfall.

Across the country, the harvest could be down as much as a third this year.

That's because heavy rain splashes bacteria onto the plants making holes in the skin and causing some to rot from the inside out.
