Public invited to demolition of Thiensville restaurant damaged by fire

THIENSVILLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The owners of a Thiensville restaurant damaged by fire are inviting the public to its demolition.

They'll tear down what's left of "the cheel" starting next Wednesday, Jan. 13.

It was two months ago that a fire caused damage to the building.

The restaurant had been open for six years, but the building itself is decades older.

Demolition starts Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. They'll start with the steeple.

A post from the restaurant Friday says, "We cannot wait to share with you the plans for the rebuild."
