Protestors gather against proposed rate hike

Community Action Groups are teaming up to fight back against utility rate hikes.

WE Energies is angling for an across the board rate increase in addition to a new formula for customers generating their own solar power.

The Alliance for Fair Utilities is unhappy with the proposal and voiced their concerns Thursday during a march inside Milwaukee's City Hall.

Alderman Zielinksi points out that two of three members of the Public Service Commission are appointees of Governor Scott Walker. He's now calling on the Governor to reject WE Energies proposed rate increase.
