Proposed bill to allow in-state tuition to undocumented immigrants

MILWAUKEE -- A state representative from Milwaukee  highlighted several immigration-related bills she plans to introduce into the state legislature at a press conference Monday morning.

Democratic representative JoCasta Zamarripa says one bill would allow undocumented students who have graduated from a Wisconsin high school to pay in-state tuition at a UW System school.

Another measure would give undocumented workers the chance to apply for a driver's license and a third would name a state holiday after the late labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez.
