Prom goes on for Grafton High School students

GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Grafton High School was not going to let the pandemic steal the prom from their students this year.

GHS held their junior prom at the River Club in Mequon Friday night, April 23.

After a meal inside, the masked teenagers hit the covered outdoor dance floor.

One student we talked to said the dance meant a lot to her.

"My siblings all had proms and I was worried that we wouldn't, that real high school experience, so I'm just so grateful that my school's done such a great job being prepared, being safe with everything," said Junior Arden Riddle. 

Everyone at the prom had to wear their masks at all times during the night, except while eating.
