Pro-Life Wisconsin group hosts 'Dobbs Day Rally' in front of Milwaukee abortion center
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Three years ago today, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs Decision, which overturned a woman's right to an abortion guaranteed by Roe v. Wade almost half a century earlier.
On this anniversary, the group Pro-Life Wisconsin held what they called a "Dobbs Day Rally," marching in front of an abortion center in Milwaukee.
The group's communications director, Teresa Wolfe, calls the landmark decision a victory of life over death.
"We all have the right to our own bodies, right, but the baby's body is not our body. That is a separate body, it belongs to a separate person, a person that's unique from day one at conception. Science tells us we have a huge miracle that happens there," said Wolfe.
Planned Parenthood meanwhile released a statement calling the consequences of the ruling "devastating and lethal."
The statement says, "We can't know all the names of the women who have died because of abortion bans, but we will never forget that people have endured injury, pain, and suffering because of the Dobbs decision."
