PridetoberFest to be held on Summerfest grounds Oct. 8-9

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- After canceling the summer festival two years in a row due to the pandemic, PrideFest organizers announced a new festival taking place at the Henry W. Maier Festival Park this fall.

Pridetoberfest, a "scaled down version of PrideFest," will be held from 3 p.m.- midnight on Friday, Oct. 8 and noon-midnight on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The announcement was made by Milwaukee Pride, Inc., the parent organization of PrideFest, on Thursday, July 8.

“We just couldn’t wait until 2022 to see our LGBTQ+ family and allies again.” said Luke Olson, PrideFest producer and Milwaukee Pride vice president. “October is LGBTQ+ history month along with National Coming Out Day. What better moment to gather and reflect on the long journey that got us to this point - and of course, to celebrate!”

The two-day event will include a "diverse lineup of entertainment," along with popular local food trucks for guests to enjoy.
