Preliminary site, operational plans approved for HARIBO plant

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved the Preliminary site and operational plans for the HARIBO plant.

The preliminary site is on 136.8 acres of property, located at the southwest corner of West Frontage Road and Wilmot Road in the Prairie Highlands Corporate Park.

The manufacturing facility will produce Goldbears and other HARIBO products. 

Phase one will include production, warehouse, and administrative office spaces.

HARIBO also plans to include a retail store open to the public, as well as a daycare and fitness center for its employees.

An official groundbreaking for phase one is planned for late spring of 2020.
