MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Potawatomi Hotel & Casino unveiled an addition to their hotel tower Thursday.
The addition includes 119 rooms and suites, giving the hotel 500 guest rooms. That makes it the second biggest hotel in Milwaukee.
"I can't name a better partner for the city of Milwaukee than the Potawatomi and everything you've done for us," Mayor Tom Barrett said. "From the streetcar to the work that you did to help us land the convention next year, to all the civic organizations that you support."
There's also a new ballroom, meeting room, and salon and spa.
"It was part of our pitch and our contribution to the city's pitch to the democratic party for the DNC," said Jay Saunders of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. "Every square inch of this facility is going to be taken up by the DNC."
The expansion cost $80 million.
