Possible first snow means mad dash to store

We stopped by the local Elliot Ace Hardware on Oklahoma Ave., Wednesday night, where folks were checking out winter gear and gadgets for this coming weekend. It caught many by surprise that we could get up to 6 inches of snow, because so far the fall has been kind to us.

The store says they've been stocked since early October expecting winter weather sooner, but no luck. Now people have to switch over from their leaf blowers to snow blowers. Wisconsin life-timer Grace Lang was wearing a hat, but still no coat. She says she’s ready for a big snow.

"I got my hat on for snowblowing, but I don't think we'll have enough, because I like it a little bit deeper," Lang said.

Shoppers are warned to pick up shovels, and car scrapers early before there is a mad dash for the store Friday night.
