PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- People in Port Washington are embracing the new blast of winter weather. Friday morning a handful of fishermen were out at coal dock park.
People in Port Washington only a got a couple of inches of snow Thursday night. Plows were out, but school wasn't canceled.
Kids were out playing, a woman was cross country skiing and a handful of men weren't having any luck trout fishing.
"It's always better here in the winter when there's less people around and you don't have a crowd to deal with," said fisherman Thomas Flom.
"I love snow. I love winter so the last couple years It's been hard in southeast Wisconsin to ski because we haven't had a lot of snow or when we do it melts right away so I'm just out here trying to enjoy every moment I can in the snow," said Lauren Wendland.
Those out enjoying the snow say the key is wearing lots of layers.
