LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A popular Lake Geneva restaurant has temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the Facebook page for Popeye’s on Lake Geneva, an employee tested positive and has self-quarantined since having systems and is currently recovering.

“We appreciate your continued well wishes for them and their family,” a letter on the Facebook post says.

The post said while the restaurant was not required to shut down, they felt it was their responsibility to do so.

“We are currently in communication with the Walworth County Health Department to ensure we are doing everything possible to contain any potential spread of the disease,” the post says.

The restaurant will be getting an extensive cleaning and sanitation regimen and plans to reopen later this month.
