Police: Woman was huffing before causing multi-vehicle crash in West Bend

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 47-year-old woman accused of "huffing" was arrested after authorities say she caused a multi-vehicle crash in West Bend on Friday, Jan. 17.

It happened at the intersection of Paradise and Silverbrook Drives around 1:39 p.m.

According to West Bend police, the 47-year-old driver struck another eastbound vehicle stopped at the red light. That vehicle struck a third vehicle also stopped at the red light.

Police say one of the drivers of the stopped vehicles, a 24-year-old female, sustained injuries to her back, neck, and chest. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.

Officials determined the 47-year-old driver of the striking vehicle had been ‘huffing’ prior to the crash and huffing items were found in the vehicle. She was on probation for OWI-6th Offense and had a revoked driver’s license.

The 47-year-old woman was arrested for OWI-7th Offense-Causing Injury, Abuse of Hazardous Materials, Violation of Probation, and Operating after Revocation.

Huffing while driving? Seriously?
And take just one guess as to insurance.
7th OWI, causing injuries. Prison. Make it years.
