Police task force ready for Badgers game

MUKWONAGO- The Wisconsin OWI Task Force is ready for drunks heading out onto the roadways.

They're anticipating lots of OWI's because of people drinking at local bars during the big game.

Since the task force began last year there have been 2,181 citations, and 155 OWI arrests. That doesn't include 107 warrants for arrests.

The program is funded by the Department of Transportation. It allows departments all throughout Southeast Wisconsin to bring officers on for overtime.

Officers remind the public if you go out and drink, make sure you call a cab or have a designated driver.
