Police find and arrest suspect wanted in sexual assault on Carthage College campus
UPDATE on Friday, Dec. 20 at 4:41 p.m.:
According to the Kenosha Police Department, the suspect has been identified and located. The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Brandon Wilson from Pleasant Prairie. Police say when they tried to arrest him, he resisted. Wilson is being held in jail and has been charged with second degree sexual assault, as well as resisting and disorderly conduct.
The police say they would like to thank everyone for their assistance in the investigation.
KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kenosha police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a female student on the Carthage College campus.
Police say it happened around 11:40 p.m. Nov. 13.
According to the college, the suspect gained unauthorized access to an educational building and is not a student.
He's said to have made comments regarding Urbana, Illinois, leading the victim to believe he may be from that area.
Police say after sexually assaulting the victim, the suspect fled on foot, leaving the campus in an unknown vehicle headed southbound.
He's described as a 20-25-year-old male, with tan skin, standing about 5'7".
