Police seek suspect accused of detonating firework in downtown Milwaukee crowd

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in a reckless endangering safety incident on July 11.

Authorities say the suspect detonated a firework in a crowd near Highland and Vel R. Phillips Avenue around 9:49 p.m., causing injury to a victim.

The suspect is described as an African American male, 16-20 years of age, 5'10"-6' tall and 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a purple zip-up hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, black socks and black sandals.
