Police searching for suspects after shots fired in Shorewood

SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Shorewood Police responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Newton Avenue around 7:34 p.m. on Thursday, August 24.

Witnessed said they saw a dark colored Jeep SUV with a red a license plate holder driving south on Maryland at a high rate of speed after hearing gunshots. They also saw three teen boys leaving the area on large bikes with small tires after the shots.

The boys were all described as 13 to 16-years-old around 5'5" with a thin build.

Officers checked the area for the teens and the car but did not find anything. There were no signs of injuries on scene and at this time the case remains under investigation.
