Police receive complaints daily about ATVs, dirt bikes on the streets of Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is issuing another warning for people living in the city. Officials say dirt bikes and ATVs are not allowed.

Police discussed concerns during the department's monthly crime and safety meeting Wednesday, June 16. MPD says they are working to find a way to best fix the issue but they need help from the community to do that.

"It is illegal to be driving ATVs and motorbikes in the city of Milwaukee, we are working on trying to resolve this issue we're having," said Officer Eliel Contreras, with the Milwaukee Police Department.

The department says they are getting calls on a daily basis from people reporting an ATV or a dirt bike on the street. They are asking anyone with information to call their non-emergency line at 414-933-4444 or Milwaukee's Traffic Division at 414-286-3263.
