Police: Mom used teen son to sell drugs

Modesto, CA (KTXL) -- Police in Modesto say a woman used her 13-year-old son to help illegally sell prescription drugs.
Pamela Guerrero, 33, is accused of trying to sell Promethazine, a cold medication, on Craigslist. Police say Guerrero met with an undercover narcotics officer, and brought along her son.
As Guerrero and the officer met, police say she had her son show the officer the drugs. She also reportedly said she'd have access to more soon, investigators said.
Police say Guerrero was arrested on sales of prescription of prescription medication and child endangerment. Her son was released to a family member.
Promethazine is often abused among those in high school and college, and also mixed with alcohol to create Purple Drank.
Investigators aren't sure if Guerrero was prescribed the drug or if she got a hold of it through other means.
Guerrero is due in Stanislaus County Court Tuesday.
