Police: Man seriously hurt after shooting in Racine; 20-year-old suspect in custody

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities are investigating after a man was shot near MLK Drive and Albert Street in Racine late Monday, Dec. 21. 

Police say the shooting happened around 10:23 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance and later transported to Froedtert Hospital in serious condition. 

Hours later, a 20-year-old man was taken into custody by the Racine Police Department SWAT team. 

An investigation is ongoing.
