Police: Man fatally shot during home invasion near Burnham and Winona

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are currently investigating a home invasion which left a man dead.

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday in the 1900 block of S. Winona Lane.

Police say that the preliminary investigation shows that the home invasion may have been drug related.

According to police, subjects entered the home and fired shots.

The residents who were inside the home fled but one of them, a 21-year-old man, was shot and died at the scene. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
