WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) – The West Bend Police Department is again reminding citizens to make sure their vehicles are locked and valuables are out of sight after they say they’re investigating several thefts from vehicles.

According to West Bend police, a woman parked her car in the parking lot of St. John’s around 7:30 Wednesday morning and when she returned, her purse had been stolen from her car. While officers were investigating the incident, another woman reported her purse had been stolen from her vehicle. A little while later, two people parked in the Little Lambs Day Care parking lot on Decorah Road reported that purses were taken from their unlocked vehicles as well

Police say to make sure car doors are locked and to keep purses and other valuables out of sight by either putting them in a locked trunk or covered in a storage area.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to call the West Bend Police Department at 262-335-5000 if they see anyone loitering in parking lots, checking door handles on vehicles or looking into vehicles.
