Police investigating after 2 men attempt to steal Brown Deer man's car at gunpoint

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Brown Deer Police Department is searching for two men who tried to steal a man's car at gunpoint.

Police were called to the 4400 block of Dean Road around 6 a.m. on Monday.

A 38-year-old Brown Deer resident reported that two men pointed firearms at him and tried to steal his vehicle.

The man told police that a suspect in a white hooded sweatshirt hit him with a gun. A suspect in a dark blue hooded sweatshirt then allegedly threw the man against his car when he would not give up his keys.

The two suspects then fled eastbound on Dean Road in a newer model red two-door Toyota with unknown plates. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
