MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two men were injured in a shooting near 18th and Locust, according to Milwaukee police. The shooting reportedly involved an exchange of gunfire between the men and other unknown suspects.

MPD said the shooting happened Monday, June 2 at around 10:19 p.m. A 24-year-old man was taken to a hospital by emergency responders, while a 19-year-old man arrived separately at a hospital for treatment. Both men were taken into custody.

Authorities say the circumstances remain under investigation. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
