Police called after driver pulls baseball bat on pedestrian who jumped in front of car

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The St. Francis Police Department was called to the area of Allerton and Vermont for a report of someone threatening another person with a baseball bat.

It happened around 2:46 p.m. on Tuesday.

The 911 caller told police that the suspect got into a red Ford truck after threatening the other person.

Police arrived on scene and located the suspect's vehicle. Officers spoke with the driver who told them that a pedestrian jumped out in front of his vehicle in what he thought was an attempt to get run over.

The driver told police that when he confronted the pedestrian, he was yelled at in a threatening manner so he armed himself with the baseball for protection. 

Officers were unable to locate the pedestrian and they issued the driver a warning regarding his actions.
