Police Believe 12-Year-Old and 13-Year-Old Maybe Responsible for Multiple Burglaries

A 12-year-old and 13-year-old were arrested by Milwaukee Police after they broke into a Northwest Side store and police believe they could be responsible for multiple similar crimes in the area.

District Four officers responded to the Dollar General located at 8328 W. Brown Deer Road around 8:40 a.m. on December 11 for a report of a burglary.

The store’s manager told officers that after viewing store surveillance video, she learned two suspects broke into the store and stole two cell phones.

Based on the surveillance video, officers were able to locate the suspects around 10:10 a.m. in the 8100 block of W. Brown Deer Road and take them into custody.

The suspects are a 12-year-old male and a 13-year-old male, both from Milwaukee. Both suspects confessed to the crime and investigators are looking into whether the juveniles could be responsible for at least ten other burglaries on the Northwest Side dating back to February.
