Police arrest 35-year-old sex offender attending party with children

KENOSHA Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police have arrested a sex offender near 58th Street and 15th Avenue in Kenosha.

Police say he cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet and was attending a block party with children present.

When officers approached the suspect, he ran.

Officers caught up to the suspect near 18th Avenue and 16th Street, where he fought with officers and resisted arrest.

The offender is a 35-year-old Racine man. He was taken into custody.
