Plymouth man seriously hurt in crash with semi on State Highway 57

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 31-year-old man from Plymouth, was seriously hurt in a crash on State Highway 57 near County Road U on Wednesday, Dec. 18. 

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office received the 911 call around 5 p.m.

Officials said a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck, operated by a 41-year-old Plymouth man, was traveling westbound on County Road U, when he stopped in the median in the middle of State Highway 57. 

The sheriff's office said the pickup pulled into the path of a southbound traveling semi truck, operated by a 67-year-old man from Ontario, Canada. 

Officials said the semi driver was not injured. The pickup driver was taken via helicopter to Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with life-threatening injuries. 

The crash was reconstructed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
