MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--I remember my first St. Patrick's Day in Milwaukee. It was around 80 degrees. 2012. Don't look for this kind of weather on Friday. We'll hover around freezing. The wind will make it feel more like 20! So please bundle up when you're heading out to take part in the day.
The storm system bringing us the colder weather on Friday will first give us rain Thursday afternoon and evening. About a half an inch is possible. As the colder air moves in, look for a switch to snow overnight into early Friday. Perhaps a few tenths of an inch to a half an inch. Watch for a few slick spots Friday morning.
The wind will be a big factor late Thursday into the weekend. Wind gusts from the northwest will howl to around 40 mph. This will make it feel much colder. Beside a few snow showers Saturday morning, the weather should quiet down into next week. The next weather maker for next week will give us rain Wednesday.
