A plane had to make an emergency landing Tuesday morning in Milwaukee. SkyWest Flight 5393, operating as United Express, reported engine trouble.
The flight was headed from Milwaukee to Chicago when it had to turn around and go back. It landed safely at General Mitchell International Airport around 6:30 a.m.
There were more than 40 passengers on the plane. No one was hurt.
“We are working to accommodate the 41 passengers on other flights to Chicago,” Wes Horrocks, Corporate Communications Manager for SkyWest Airlines explained.
General Mitchell did not report any delays in arrivals or departures because of the emergency landing.
Mechanics are now inspecting the aircraft.
