Plane down in cornfield in Kenosha

A plane went down in a cornfield in Kenosha in the area of 52nd St and 88th Ave.

The pilot was trying to land at the Kenosha Regional Airport, but came short of the runway.

Officials confirm that the the pilot, who is from Northern Illinois, is okay.

His plane, a Piper Super Cub with floats, is in tact.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing, but at this time officials do not believe that the plane experienced any mechanical problems.
