MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- February 9 marks National Pizza Day, a day to celebrate one of the world's most beloved foods. To commemorate this special occasion, we reached out to Anne Cookson, co-founder of Crustology Pizza Crusts, a company that aims to offer high-quality, gluten-free pizza crusts.
Cookson shared the steps of making a pizza in the home, even a flavor that is not particularly conventional: Buffalo chicken pizza.
Even though the pizza may sound a little odd, Cookson ensures that local flavors are incorporated in the recipe. "You can use any cheese you want. If you like cheddar cheese better, you can use that. I’m a mozzarella girl being from Wisconsin."
While some prefer a traditional pepperoni pizza and others a more adventurous Buffalo chicken pizza, Cookson suggests visiting Crustology.com for more information on preparing pizza at home on this National Pizza Day.
