Pipe bursts causing flooding at Juvenile Justice Center

MILWAUKEE-- A pipe burst causing flooding at the Vel Phillips Juvenile Justice Center on Watertown Plank Road said Milwaukee County Sheriff officials.


Late yesterday afternoon a Sheriff deputy was picking up some equipment when he noticed standing water in a hallway.


The deputy traced the water back to a locked control room where water was leaking from the ceiling.


The extent of the damage is still being determined by the facility maintenance manager.


Children's court is still planned to be open Monday.
