Pfister Hotel entering next phase of $20M renovations

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Pfister Hotel has begun the second phase of its $20 million renovation plan. This phase follows the completion of updates to its ballrooms and event spaces.

The project includes an overhaul of the hotel's historic guest rooms, aiming to update the accommodations while preserving the property's architectural and historical integrity.

In the current phase, the guest rooms are being redesigned with a nod to the hotel's legacy, incorporating elements that reflect the property's proximity to Lake Michigan and its Victorian roots. This includes updates to furniture, art and amenities, with a focus on blending traditional aesthetics.

The restyling effort extends to the bathrooms, which will feature modern fixtures and design touches that pay homage to Wisconsin's heritage by working with Kohler Co., along with featuring plants that are found along Milwaukee's Lake Michigan shoreline.

Future renovations will address the hotel lobby and the Rouge Ballroom, including a neutral color palette to complement art pieces, crystal chandeliers and original woodwork.

More information about the renovations and the hotel itself can be found at ThePfisterHotel.com.
