Pewaukee storage complex fire results in serious injuries

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A fire erupted at the Red Dot Storage complex in the City of Pewaukee, resulting in serious injuries to a 35-year-old man and causing extensive damage to the building on Saturday, June 24.

A news release notes that the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the fire on Saturday at 5:52 p.m.

They say that the man involved in the fire was working on a vehicle when the fire ignited and quickly spread. He reportedly suffered burns to the upper portion of his body.

The City of Pewaukee Fire Department responded and led the fire suppression efforts. The injured man was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

In addition to the City of Pewaukee Fire Department, 14 other local agencies provided assistance in managing the incident.
