PEWAUKEE (CBS 58)—They say starting young is the best time to learn valuable lessons. This is exactly what some preschoolers are doing at The Learning Experience, or TLE, in Pewaukee. During April, they took part in the "Let's Grant Wishes" campaign, learning about kindness and teamwork while raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The goal is to raise $5 thousand to make one wish for one child come true. Of course, they had the assistance of their pre-K teachers and two philanthropic characters, "Charity Chihuahua" and "Grace the Greyhound." The month-long fundraiser is also part of TLE's philanthropy curriculum teaching kids the value of kindness, inclusion, and giving back. Since 2018, the annual campaign amongst all TLE's franchises has raised more than $10 million nationwide to help grant wishes for children through Make-A-Wish.
