Hernan Perez's home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday night prevented the Milwaukee Brewers from being shut out in a doubleheader for the first time in the history of the franchise.
Despite the home run, the Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs 4-1 Tuesday night--after being shut out 4-0 in the series opener.
The Brewers managed nine hits in the two games, compared to the Cubs eight runs and 16 hits.
In the second game, both outfielder Ryan Braun left with a knee injury in the fourth inning and starting pitcher Chase Anderson left in the first inning after being hit by a line drive in his right hip.
