People gather at Bradford Community Church in Kenosha to demand justice for Jacob Blake

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Ahead of the Blake family rally, people gathered just a few blocks away from the Kenosha County Courthouse at Bradford Community Church to stand together and demand justice for Jacob Blake on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Pastors played guitar, sang songs and stood in solidarity.

Unitarian Universalists came from all over the state to join the rally and show their support for the social justice movement.

"We are committed to racial justice and for justice in our community and also for the peaceful expression of our pain and our concern for our community," Reverend Erik Carlson, lead minister of Bradford Community Church Unitarian Universalist, said.

The church was affected by the unrest this week. The minister says they lost their road sign in a fire. However, good Samaritans stepped in and helped saved the building from burning down.
