Red Cross providing shelter to those displaced by fire on Milwaukee's west side

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --The Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced after a fire on Milwaukee's west side Sunday, Dec. 14.

It happened near 10tgh and Lancaster.

One person was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

No one else was hurt.

The Milwaukee Fire Department says that the intense cold made fighting the fire more difficult, as their masks froze up and ice on the ground made walking hazardous.

The fire remains under investigation.
