Pedestrian Stuck and Killed While Crossing Kenosha Street

A 19-year-old Kenosha man was killed Monday evening when he was struck by a vehicle as he was crossing a Kenosha Street.  The victim has been identified by Kenosha Police as Lavonta McMath.   According to Police, the accident happened around 8:30 PM in the 5500 block of Washington Road as McMath was crossing the divided street  in an area that was not controlled by a crosswalk or traffic signal.   According to the police report, the Kenosha Fire Department and Flight for Life were called.  Kenosha Fire Rescue was unable to revive McMath and he died at the scene.   The vehicle involved in the accident was driven by a  20-year-old Kenosha man.  The Kenosha Police and Wisconsin State Patrol are continuing to investigate the accident.
