Partial roof collapse in Franklin

FRANKLIN-There was a partial roof collapse at the Stonefield Village Apartment Friday afternoon.

According to Franklin Police, nobody was hurt.

7 Units plus the building's officer were damaged by falling debris and ice.

There is no damage estimate at this point.

The building inspector says everyone living on the south side of the building cannot stay there.

They suspect other buildings in the area could face the same situation because of the build up of ice.

Building management says they would not call it a collapse. They feel the repairs can be made.

Still, residents are staying in Red Cross provided hotel rooms until an inspection is done. That may happen Saturday.
