Park High School student injured in shooting across from campus

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say a 16-year-old Park High School student was injured in a shooting Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Officers with the Racine Police Department responded to an address near Cedar Bend Park across from the high school around 1:23 p.m.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury. 

Park High School was temporarily placed on lockdown. Authorities say the victim was not on school property at the time of the incident.
