MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Reaction is pouring in over a video of a Division South High School student repeatedly punching his teacher in the face.
Parents say they were concerned about the teachers at the school, but mostly their own kids. Right now, police say the student faces potential battery to a public school official charges.
We reached out to the district attorney's office who said the case will be referred to children's court. The student is 16.
We talked to the grandparent of a girl at the school. She says she checks on her every day because of things like this.
"It didn't make any sense at all," Lucia Scott said. "That could have been my granddaughter that he was beating on, but in reality it's wrong for beating on a teacher. I just hope they can get it together, and get it straightened out. It's a shame."
We have reached out to Milwaukee Public Schools as well as the Teachers Education Association. Both say they will not comment until the investigation is complete.
