MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Managing schedules during summer break presents challenges for working parents, according to early childhood experts. While school is out, many families continue to juggle childcare, job responsibilities and limited free time.
Sarah Hall, who joined us on Thursday, July 24, is the owner of The Goddard School of Pleasant Prairie. She discussed strategies families can use to stay organized throughout the season.
The tips include reviewing weekly plans together, establishing daily routines that promote consistency and clearly separating work and family time. Hall said families may also benefit from structured programs like summer camps, which can offer reliable daytime engagement and help kids adjust to their upcoming return to school.
