Panthers lose tournament opener in Florida

UWM's Panthers began their Thanksgiving week by nearly pulling off a win against an NCAA Tournament team from a few years ago.

Murray State went on a 7-0 run late in the game to pull off a 66-63 win over the Panthers Monday at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida. Jordan Johnson hit a shot at the buzzer that would have tied the game, but the officials ruled the shot did not get off before the game-ending buzzer sounded.

UWM moves on to play Duquesne Tuesday morning at 11:00 Central time in Florida.
