Panthers fall to Golden Grizzlies at home

Jordan Johnson's 20 points, six rebounds and nine assists were not enough in UW-Milwaukee's 82-79 loss to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies Monday night.

Matt Tiby fell one point short of a double-double for Milwaukee (14-7, 5-3 Horizon), who trailed for most of the first half before an Austin Arians three-pointer game the Panthers a lead just before the half. A back-and-forth second half was punctuated by a J.J. Panoske layup to tie the game with less than five minutes to play, followed moments later by a Nick Daniels layup that gave Oakland the lead for good.

Milwaukee falls to 5-3 in Horizon League play, matching Oakland's conference record.
