Packers top Patriots 22-11 in preseason opener

Foxborough, Mass.--The Green Bay Packers beat the New England Patriots 22-11 Gillette Stadium in the first preseason game for both teams in 2015.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers played the entire first quarter, completing 11 of 19 passes for 117 yards. Backup Scott Tolzien threw for 107 yards on 16 attempts, completing ten including a second quarter touchdown to Jeff Janis.

The Packers defense forced seven sacks and an interception.

Green Bay's next game is Sunday, August 23 at Pittsburgh.
