Packers Take on Lions in Home Opener Without Matthews

The Green Bay Packers host their first game of the season at Lambeau Field Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

The Packers (1-1) are coming off a loss against Minnesota after two straight road games to start the year.

Since 2013, the series between the Packers and Lions is 3-3, with the last game ending in the Music City Miracle--Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary game-winning throw to Richard Rodgers at Ford Field.

Green Bay will miss both linebacker Clay Matthews (ankle/hamstring) and safety Morgan Burnett (groin) who were listed as OUT on the Packers injury report. Cornerback Sam Shields will miss a second straight week with a concussion.
